I always have had a passion for swords and yes fantasy inspired as well as historical. From the TV series of my youth the flashing blades, to Tolkien and Moorcock to escape into.

I have always worked with metal and had a joy in history and the artistry that went into the smallest piece to the great swords and armour of kings .

Learning longsword and sabre at my local club gave me another insight into weight and balance of swords and the amazing written manuals of the 15-16 centuries.

My passion for trying to make pieces as they were made in the day, albeit with a little help from things they would have used given the technology then.

My swords are hand forged, from the distal taper, to the pommel and hilts of swords everything is hand crafted so yes time sometimes factors.

My sculpture is all done by eye and inspired by the magic of nature and the fantasy pieces are from imagination and whether it's the mundane spoon or the rusted piece of farm scrap all can be integrated into my sculpting.
